About Tony Baker....
Tony Baker is
a management and marketing advisor, specializing in international
business
development. He has degrees in
Electronics and Computing Science, a diploma course in Economics and
Financial
Management, and has passed all examinations of the Canadian Institute
of
Management Consultants. His career has
included management and marketing experience in the aerospace,
electronics,
telecommunications, computer and software industries.
Tony moved
from England to Canada in
1976. In 1991, he established Market
Access Worldwide to help companies develop international business
between Canada, Europe
and the USA. His
activities include international trade
research, export management, and development of business and marketing
plans.
From 1993 to
2000, Tony acted as the North American representative for the
Lanarkshire
Development Agency, helping Scottish companies enter the United States and Canadian
markets.
In recent
years, Tony has helped a very large number of Canadian companies export
to the United States and around
the world, in association with TradeLink Toronto and with the York
Region Export
Development Initiative.
In addition,
he teaches International Trade Research, International Marketing,
Logistics,
Distribution and International Trade Management courses for Centennial College
and for the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).
Tony is a board member and former Chair
of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in
Toronto. He
is also a director of the British Canadian
Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
